How to Change BMW 645i Oil

Warm Up the Engine: Start your BMW 645Ci and let the engine run for about 5 minutes to warm up the oil.

Locate the Drain Plug: Lift your BMW model with a jack and secure it with jack stands. Find the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan.

Drain the Oil: Place the drain pan under the drain plug, then use a socket wrench to remove the plug. Allow all the oil to drain into the pan.

Replace the Oil Filter: Locate the oil filter, which is usually near the top of the engine. Use the oil filter wrench to remove the old filter. Install the new filter, and make sure it's snug.

Replace the Drain Plug: When the oil has drained, reinstall the drain plug and tighten it.

Refill with New Oil: Use a funnel to pour the new synthetic oil into the engine. Check your owner's manual for the amount needed.

Check Oil Level: After refilling, use the dipstick to check the oil level. Add more oil if necessary, then close the oil cap.

Dispose of Old Oil: Safely dispose of the old oil and filter at your local recycling center.
